Barcelona or Paris: Which Is Better?

Many tourists wonder which city is better to visit, Barcelona or Paris? The answer to that question isn’t that simple. It’s like asking: Which car is better, Mercedes or BMW?

Both of these cities are great. If you choose just one, you will not regret it, but will also miss not seeing the other. The good thing is that these cities are relatively close to each other, so why not consider visiting them both?

Here, we’d like to provide you with an overview of Paris and Barcelona, so this way you can get a better feel of what these cities are all about.

Barcelona or Paris which is better
Visiting Paris

Once you get to Paris, the public transportation within the city is well developed. If you choose the underground system, that will allow you to move around the city easily and inexpensively.

If you don’t speak French, you still will be able to communicate in English, although not with everyone. Some Parisians also seem busy and may ignore questions from another tourist. Still, you will find assistance when it comes to directions.

Some tourists say that French waiters can be rude. This isn’t necessarily the case. They don’t like to be rushed. What happens is that much of the French food is “slow-cooked,” so you shouldn’t expect to have it brought to you as quickly as McDonald’s burger.

Now, referring of top attractions, there are many. For art and history lovers, Louvre Museum is a must-see destination. This is where you’ll get to see Mona Lisa and many, many other art masterpieces.

The Avenue des Champs-Élysées isn’t far away from the museum. It is even possible to walk from Louvre to The Arc de Triomphe along this famous boulevard. The walk is rather long, so you’ll need some comfortable shoes. And, you can always take a break at nearby cafes. A well known escort girl blog in Paris is Journal de Bord from Cathy a french libertine.

Another major monument, the Eiffel Tower, isn’t that far from the Arc. To get to it, you’ll need to cross Seine River that cuts through Paris. At times, there are long lines at the tower, so you need to be patient. Once you get to the top of the tower, you’ll see much of Paris and will notice that most of the buildings are grey.

If you want to see a beautiful cathedral (and you should want to), Notre Dame de Paris is another top destination. It is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world.

Visiting Barcelona

Barcelona is a city of amazing beauty, and there’s no exaggeration about it. The city is actually located by the Mediterranean Sea. If you decide to visit Castell de Montjuïc, you’ll also get to see panoramic views of the city and the sea. As in Paris, you’ll be able to communicate in English, although not with everyone.

Most tourists go to La Rambla, one of the busiest and exciting streets in the city. There are many shops should you want to buy some souvenirs.

Barcelona is also famous for the works of an architecture genius, Antoni Gaudi. One of his most mesmerizing works is Sagrada Familia basilica, a large cathedral. If there’s one must-see in Barcelona, then this is it. Another great building designed by Gaudi is Casa Batlló, located near the center of Barcelona. Its shapes are nothing short of fantastic.

Many soccer fans will go to Camp Nou, which is a stadium of a famous team, FC Barcelona. However, you need to be quite lucky to get to go to one of the games. The Spanish people are great fans of this game, so it may not always be easy to get tickets.

Barcelona is also a home to many great museums. Fans of a Spanish painter Pablo Picasso should go Museu Picasso, a place which features many of his works. Another interesting place is Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya. This museum features Catalan art from 11th century onward.

There’s also another amazing place, but it’s a bit outside of Barcelona. If you have some spare time, seriously consider going there. Montserrat is a beautiful monastery located on the top of a mountain. Over there, you’ll get to see not only the monks’ retreat but also amazing panoramic views.
